Canon PIXMA PRO-100

This is the Canon PIXMA PRO-100! It is a large-format inkjet photo printer. It can print paper up to 13”x19”, on cardstock, and even on CDs! It can print regular stuff, too. This is a guide for just printing regular things. If you want a guide on how to make nice art prints, please refer to the Canon On-screen Manual that is installed on the communal computer. (Search ‘Canon’ in the start menu)

Loading Paper

There are 2 loading trays on this printer, the rear tray and the manual feed tray. The rear tray is the one you want to use for most uses. The manual feed tray is used for thicker papers that you don’t want to bend as much, like cardstock. I’ve labeled them both with some tape.

When loading paper make sure to adjust the gray thingies to fit the width of your paper.

Printing:

This is pretty straightforward, just hit print on whatever software you’re using and use the dialogue box that pops up. Just be sure to double check what the settings are! Like what kind of paper its set to. There’s a bunch of paper profiles to choose from, like various types of art and photo papers. Make sure it’s set to ‘plain paper’.

Also make sure the front output tray is open lol.

Troubleshooting & maintenance:

For a more detailed guide please refer to the manual.

If your print is looking like straight doodoo, there’s a couple things that could be wrong:

Check the ink levels by opening the top cover. Tanks that are low will be flashing. Check to see if we have any replacement cartridges for that colour (should be in a container nearby). If we are out, msg the printing channel on discord to let them know to order more.

If the printhead is clogged, follow maintenance procedures in the manual. If none of that works, start googling or msg Andi lol
